Overview

CYSOM is a trauma-informed, expressive arts-based facilitation program designed to support voluntary participation, emotional regulation, and structured engagement in community and justice-informed settings.


CYSOM does not conduct research or collect human subjects data within correctional environments.


Program Purpose

To provide structured, non-clinical expressive arts sessions that support:

voluntary participation
emotional grounding
safe group engagement
readiness-based expression
What the Program Does

CYSOM provides:

facilitated group sessions
structured expressive arts activities
non-coercive participation environments
optional sharing opportunities


What the Program

CYSOM does NOT:

conduct research
collect behavioral data for analysis
evaluate individuals
diagnose or assess psychological conditions
require disclosure or testimony
track outcomes for publication inside the facility


Engagement Philosophy

Participation is voluntary and paced according to individual comfort.

Facilitation prioritizes:

safety before expression
autonomy before disclosure
presence without pressure


Facilitator Role

Facilitators:

guide structured activities
maintain safe group environments
support voluntary participation
do not collect research data within the facility
