Color Your Story Onto Mine is a faith-based initiative dedicated to archiving and chronicling the voices and artistic expressions of trauma survivors—especially African-American, Indigenous and Native women and girls. Through our museum, memorial, and healing programs, we provide a space for reflection, empowerment, and recovery, working to end cruelty against children and eradicate sexual violence. Our mission is to preserve stories, foster healing through the arts, and promote resilience by offering educational programs and exhibitions that inspire change.

I'm beyond excited to share that I, Violet Newborn, received a shout out from the incredibly talented artist, advocate and activist for recovery Jellyroll! 🎤✨
This recognition means so much to me and fuels my passion for the work we’re doing at Color Your Story Onto Mine, Inc. We're all about using artistic expression to heal and empower survivors of abuse, and moments like this remind me that our message is reaching hearts.
Thank you, Jellyroll, for the support! Let’s keep inspiring each other to create, heal, and uplift! 🎨💪

This vision is deeply personal to our founder, Violet Newborn, whose life journey is a testament to the power of art, storytelling, and community support. Having experienced chronic complex childhood trauma, sex trafficked via foster care system (by the state of TN & CA.), cult abuse via church & community, incarceration, homelessness, domestic violence and the daily challenges of PTSD, Violet has dedicated her life to ensuring that others do not go unseen or unheard.
Color Your Story Onto Mine is more than a museum, a school, or a garden. It is the embodiment of Violet’s mission to create a world where trauma is understood, healing is possible, and every story is valued. This initiative represents the essence of resilience, change, and hope—the very soul and bones of Color Your Story Onto Mine.
